Description
Off the western coast of the Hawaii's Big Island, a historical monument to Captain Cook hugs th shoreline. First landing in present-day Hawaii in 1778, Cook was originally hailed as a god. On his third voyage to Hawaii, however, natives killed the famous explorer as he tried to kidnap their chief.
