Description
On Hawaii's Big Island South of Kona Kilauea the Kona Living History Coffee Farm offers a fascinating glimpse into Hawaii's early coffee industry. Operated by Japanese immigrants, the coffee farm helped popularize what would one day become world-famous Kona Coffee. This photograph is of the coffee bean drying process that takes place on a flat, moveable roof. The Kona Historical Society operates the Living History Coffee Farm.
