Description
When I stroll through the marshes of Jekyll Island State Park with my camera I am looking for a story composed by nature and bathed in the right light. Curiosity and examining all angles matters. I had seen this tree hundreds of times over the years, but on this particular day it caught my eye at just the right angle and in the just the right conditions. Emerging from the many hues of marsh grasses and shades of nearby trees, this single skeletal tree defiantly spread skyward. In death embodying dignity, it stood guard over its little corner of the marshes of Jekyll.
