Artist's Description

This landscape photograph captures the transitionary nature of Yellowstone National Park. Pictured on a hilltop near Tower Junction is a stand of blackened, dead trees all leaning to the right, battered from years of strong winds. In the distance are mountain peaks, partially obscured by a thin layer of clouds. Soon the clouds will clear out, and in years to come the tree trunks will topple.
